LPL 2020: Shahid Afridi And Sarfaraz Ahmed To Play For Galle Gladiators

Former Pakistani captains Shahid Afridi and Sarfraz Ahmed will play for Gaul Gladiators in the upcoming Lanka Premier League (LPL). The tournament will run from 14 November to 6 December.

Former Pakistani captains Shahid Afridi and Sarfaraz Ahmed will play for Gaul Gladiators in the Lanka Premier League (LPL), which was bought by the owner of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Quetta Gladiators.

Nadeem Omar, the owner of Quetta Gladiators, announced this while unsealing the jersey of Gaul Gladiators in Karachi. Afridi was chosen the 'icon player' of the team and the former all-rounder thanked Omar on Twitter.


The 40-year-old, who played for Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League this year, tweeted, "Proud to be an icon player of Gaul Gladiators. I want to thank Nadeem Omar Bhai and also congratulate him on becoming the first franchisee to buy a team in LPL from Pakistan.

The Lanka Premier League will be held from 14 November to 6 December and the Sri Lankan Board has sold all the rights to the league, including broadcast and media rights.
